Ben founded Abax Capital after experience as an advisor with a large investment bank, a $2 Billion Family-Office, and with a boutique planning firm. He also teaches future financial planners as a professor at the University of Virginia.

He is a self-proclaimed nerd. He enjoys spreadsheets and the tax code. It is his mission to help families navigate the best days and most challenging days of their lives.

Family is at the core of Ben’s life. He and his wife Megen have two children (Hayden, 15 and Sutton, 6) and live in Greensboro. He spends most weekends at soccer games and rowing regattas around the southeast.

Ben has been involved as a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the March of Dimes – March for Babies and as a volunteer coach for First Tee of the Triad.
